''Beyaz Gezi'' (White Trip) with Our International Students

The FSMVU International Programs Office organized the “Beyaz Gezi” (White Trip) with support from the Istanbul Municipality Youth and Sports Directorate and the Public Relations Directorate. We visited the Panorama 1453 History Museum, Basilica Cistern, IBB Promotion Tent, and Miniaturk with our international students.

Panorama 1453 History Museum was the first stop of the Beyaz Gezi, which was attended by 26 international students. In the museum, information about the conquest of Istanbul was shared by our tour guide. After the Panorama visit, we went to the Basilica Cistern. Being the largest cistern in Istanbul, our students had the chance to closely examine the artifacts located within the Cistern. Our next stop was the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Promotion Tent where the students were given detailed information on Istanbul in general and the Municipalities cultural programs on offer. The last stop of the tour was Miniaturk (Miniature Turkey Park), where 1/25 scale models of selected works from Turkey and the Ottoman geography are located. Students took this opportunity to visit some of Turkey’s magnificent landmarks in closer detail.
