FSMVU Strengthens Ties with ICYF: A Step Towards Greater Student Engagement and Collaboration

The Directorate of International Relations at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University (FSMVU) recently held a productive meeting with the Director of Education and Training at the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) to discuss avenues for collaboration and future initiatives. This engagement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering academic excellence, youth empowerment, and intercultural dialogue.

FSMVU, with its deep-rooted legacy in Türkiye’s rich academic and cultural history, and ICYF, as a leading international youth platform under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), share a common vision of nurturing future leaders through education, training, and exchange programs. This meeting served as an important milestone in aligning efforts to create meaningful opportunities for both Turkish and international students.

One of the key outcomes of the discussion was the initiative to establish Model OIC (MOIC) Clubs on FSMVU’s campus. These clubs will serve as platforms for students to engage in diplomatic simulations, policy discussions, and leadership training, providing them with firsthand experience in international relations and decision-making processes. Additionally, FSMVU and ICYF explored potential collaborations in organizing workshops, training programs, and youth engagement activities that will enhance students’ academic and professional development.

By strengthening its ties with ICYF, FSMVU reaffirms its commitment to creating a global learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds can thrive. This collaboration will pave the way for new academic and cultural exchanges, further solidifying FSMVU’s role as a hub for international cooperation.
