FSMVU Strengthens Global Presence at APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University (FSMVU), Istanbul, Türkiye, proudly participated in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference & Exhibition 2026 in Hong Kong, one of the most prestigious gatherings in the Asia-Pacific region dedicated to international higher education collaboration. Representing Türkiye under the “Study in Türkiye” pavilion alongside 82 universities and hosted by the Turkish National Agency, FSMVU actively engaged in a wide range of academic and networking activities aimed at strengthening global partnerships and expanding its international presence.

Throughout the four-day event, We participated in key sessions including the First Timers’ Networking & Briefing, the Hong Kong Higher Education Seminar, and a workshop on designing effective micro-credentials, while also conducting numerous productive meetings with institutions from across the globe. Universities and organizations from Hong Kong, Czechia, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, Macau, Indonesia, Korea, Lithuania, Croatia, Portugal, Brazil, Hawaii, Thailand, Singapore, Canada, Slovakia, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Romania, Hungary, Bangladesh, and France were among those engaged. These meetings focused on fostering collaboration in student and staff mobility, joint academic programs, and research initiatives, significantly contributing to FSMVU’s growing international network.

In addition to the conference activities, FSMVU representative visited Lingnan University as part of a campus tour, gaining valuable insights into institutional practices and academic environments.

As APAIE 2026 concluded with a closing ceremony, FSMVU reflected on a highly productive and inspiring week marked by meaningful partnerships, knowledge exchange, and shared visions for the future of higher education.
