Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University attended the one-day EDIS International Education Fair for 6 Turkish Universities organized by United Education in Doha, Qatar on 11th March 2023. With nearly 900 students attending the one-day event, it was a great opportunity for us to get to know the expats in Doha and their academic needs in person. FSMVU paid courtesy visits to multiple dignitaries consisting of the H.E. Ambassador Mehmet Mustafa Göksu (Turkish Embassy in Doha) Dr. Ahmad M. Hasnah (President of Hamad Bin Khalifa University) Dr. Hayat Marafi, (Director of Qatar Debate Center).
We presented a small token of appreciation to the Turkish Ambassador for his immense efforts in maintaining an excellent relationship between Türkiye and Qatar. Further, we discussed various issues from the recent earthquake in Türkiye to future collaborations between the Hamad Bin Khalifa University and FSMVU. In our visit to Partner Qatar Debate Center which has helped us in establishing the Arabic Language Studies and Arabic Debate Center in FSMVU Türkiye we considered more opportunities for collaboration.
