Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University attended the Turkish Universities Promotion Fair held in Khartoum, Sudan from 5-12 March 2023.

It was a mobile fair based on grassroot approach where we visited multiple schools per day. The promotional activity comprised of a “meet and greet” with Sudanese high schools where we shared information about our university’s structure, curriculum and international student application and acceptance procedures. We are greatly overwhelmed by the attendance and interest shown by the prospective students and high school representatives during our sessions.

Correspondingly, we paid a courtesy visit to Türkiye’s Ambassador in Khartoum H.E. Ismail Çobanoğlu and appreciated his efforts of bringing Türkiye and Sudan closer with effective diplomatic initiatives. We paid a quick visit to University Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST) and El Neelain University and discussed different opportunities leading to the international cooperation and strengthening the educational exchange between the institutions. The fair concluded in the esteemed presence of Sudanese Minister of Education Mr Mahmud Al Hatim Al Huri, H.E. Ismail Çobanoğlu and El Neelain University’s rector Prof. Dr Alhadi Adem in a closing ceremony held at El Neelain University.
